James and family visit Legoland

Updated: Jul 17, 2022

Legoland, Windsor

James was diagnosed with an ependymoma brain tumour in 2016 when he was 2 years old.

James has a twin brother Joshua.

Over the years James has been through so much, endless surgeries, chemotherapy, proton and radiotherapy as well as pioneering trials by one of the top neuro surgeons in the UK. James like Alfie was impacted from surgery in so many ways not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and socially but despite this, he always had the biggest cheeky smile!

In 2021 James was put onto palliative care as his treatment sadly wasn’t working anymore. The family wanted to make some memories together and therefore contacted our charity to see if this was an option. We asked the family where James would like to go and they knew immediately - ‘Legoland’ as both him and his brother both loved Lego so this was perfect.

The family went to Legoland in July 2021 but sadly James lost his battle to cancer several months later.
